This necklace is gold plated silver, which means 925 sterling silver has been coated with a layer of real 18ct gold. It’s higher quality and longer-lasting than regular gold plated brass - however, it does require some TLC to keep it looking new for longer. Most of our gold plated pieces are coated in a thin anti-tarnish solution that helps to maintain the finish. However, it can wear off without proper care. Ensure the longevity of your jewellery by:
